Farnstock sees sell-out crowds in 2016
Farnsfield saw the return of its successful ‘on-your-doorstep’ music festival this summer, on Saturday 16th July. Now in its fourth year, Farnstock 2016 was bigger and better than ever. This popular local family event showcased 12 hours of live music and DJs across 2 stages, from midday to midnight. Also back by popular demand was Farnstock’s mini beer and cider festival, with a range of locally brewed ales and ciders to tempt any palate.
The event’s organisers announced an impressive line-up of bands and performers, celebrating local talent and covering a wide range of genres.
Farnstock is well known for its family-friendly focus. During the day there were a host of exciting, free activities for children of all ages, making it a great day out for all the family. As the sun began to set, it was time for the grown-ups to have some fun of their own, with some fantastic headline acts.
The organisers said,
“We’re so excited about Farnstock this year. People in Farnsfield have been incredibly supportive of this event and we really want to bring them something extra special this time round. We’ve got some fantastic music that we can’t wait to tell you about, and a huge range of really fun extras and activities for adults and children alike. Roll on 16th July!”
Farnstock is a charity event, run entirely by volunteers. All money raised goes to Farnsfield St Michael’s C of E Primary School.
Farnstock is proud to announce that this year a massive £5,000 was raised which goes, as ever, to Farnsfield St Michael's C of E Primary School.
